IT:AD:Azure:Portal:Classic Portal
Summary
The term Classic Portal is reserved for the original Azure IT:AD:Azure:Portal:Service Portal which was service Management based (rather than RBAC/Resource Group based).
It is accessible via: * https://manage.windowsazure.com
Beyond a refresh of the UX, the primary reason for moving from the Classic Portal to the new IT:AD:Azure:Portal:Service Portal is the security considerations expressed here:
Although it's pretty clear that the RBAC/Resource Group based security used in the new IT:AD:Azure:Portal:Service Portal is far better than having 200 Service Co-Administrators with full rights to all services, not all Azure services and features have been ported to the new Portal (eg: AD).
In other words, you'll still need to designate some Service Co-Administrators in order to use the classic portal for AD, Service Bus, etc – unless you work with Powershell.
